About Us
I studied business and international business at Canada College, Stanford, the University of Heidelberg in Germany, and the Monterey Institute of International Studies. While in school, I entered the insurance business in 1968. In 1971, I accepted a position in Europe and eventually became the managing general agent for Western Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.
When I returned to the United States, I took on the role of regional director of sales for the Midwestern Division. During that time, I worked in direct sales and sales management, as well as training for these companies.
I’ve always been a serial entrepreneur, investing in and guiding several companies—from bookstores and a publishing company, to an auto dealership, real estate finance and development, construction, microwave and dry utilities, and telecommunications.

In 2009, I decided to reenter the insurance business after recognizing a clear need for professionals who truly understood insurance, particularly Medicare. With the growing population of retirees, the demand for guidance was only increasing. I completed several courses and worked with companies specializing in Medicare and retirement products. Within two years, I realized the best way to truly help people was to become a broker—independent and free to choose the companies that offered the best coverage, the most reasonable prices, and outstanding service. My commitment to serving and helping my clients has been invaluable to them, and deeply rewarding for me.
In 2013, after a personal battle with colon cancer, I experienced firsthand the critical importance of accessible, high-quality healthcare. With full medical coverage that alleviated the financial burden of treatment, I was struck by how fortunate I was—and how devastating it could be for someone facing both illness and financial uncertainty. This realization sparked a lifelong commitment to being part of the solution.
Following my recovery, I earned my California health insurance license and became one of the first 5,000 agents to enroll members under the Affordable Care Act. Since then, I’ve expanded my work to include enrolling clients in Medicare plans and serving as a patient advocate— helping individuals navigate the complex healthcare system to access timely, effective care.
With decades of hands-on experience as a caregiver, I bring a deep understanding of the emotional and logistical challenges faced by patients and their families. I have a particular passion for memory care and hospice work, and I’ve spoken at conferences on the importance of caregiver self-care and mental health de-stigmatization.
Whether enrolling someone in a health plan or supporting them through a critical diagnosis, I’m driven by a single goal: to help people live with dignity, compassion, and respect, especially in their most vulnerable moments.
